Far and Away (1992)

The problem is the story plays like a greatest-hits montage of clichés, with characters who feel sketched in rather than lived in, so the emotional beats can land with a thud. The much-mocked Irish accents don’t help, and a few plot turns are so preposterous you may find yourself checking out instead of getting swept up.
