Rambling Rose (1991)

Rambling Rose is aiming for a lyrical, memory-soaked Southern drama about desire, loneliness, and a family trying (and failing) to “save” someone who doesn’t fit their rules. The problem is that its central tension leans heavily on sexual provocation and boundary-crossing, including material involving a young teen, which can feel less like thoughtful critique and more like discomfort the film expects you to sit with.
