Grand Canyon (1991)

The problem is it often feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to be Important, with slick, self-aware writing that can come off sanctimonious and heavy-handed rather than naturally observed. With so many intersecting storylines, it can also feel unfocused—more like a series of message-driven vignettes than one satisfying, cohesive drama.
