Satisfaction (1988)

Satisfaction is the kind of late-’80s time capsule that remembers when a guitar riff and a summer job could feel like a whole new life—bright, breezy, and powered by an easygoing rock-and-romance pulse. It’s less interested in reinventing the genre than in delivering the simple pleasures: catchy music, sunlit escapism, and the thrill of watching a young band test-drive adulthood one gig at a time. The real treat is the cast’s spark, including an early Julia Roberts with that unmistakable charisma and a surprising Liam Neeson presence that adds a little extra gravity to the fun.
