It’s powered by a mischievous comic rhythm and an upbeat sense of invention, with Anthony Michael Hall’s nervous sincerity grounding the lunacy and Kelly LeBrock arriving like a pop-culture genie—funny, commanding, and effortlessly magnetic. The vibe is rowdy and surreal, full of big ‘80s energy and one outrageous escalation after another, but it keeps circling back to the simple wish to be seen and liked. Fair warning: it’s very much a product of its era, with PG-13 sexuality and broad, sometimes juvenile humor—if that’s not your lane, it may grate—but if you’re in the mood for a bold, goofy, surprisingly warm time capsule, this one still delivers.
