Romancing the Stone (1984)

Robert Zemeckis keeps the pace buoyant and bright, and the movie’s secret weapon is the effortless chemistry between Kathleen Turner’s smart, flustered heroine and Michael Douglas’s roguish guide—two stars who make every bicker, glance, and narrow escape feel like part of the same delicious ride.
