Rumble Fish (1983)

Rumble Fish feels less like a teen crime drama than a fever dream about youth—shot in stark, expressionistic black-and-white that turns Tulsa streets into a haunted arena where every glance and shadow means something. Coppola directs with the restless confidence of an artist taking a risk, and the result is hypnotic: a movie that moves on mood and longing as much as story, capturing the ache of wanting to be legendary before you even know who you are.
