Paul Grau frames its revenge-thriller engine with vivid biker-movie menace, lurid neon-and-leather atmosphere, and a mean streak that keeps the tension simmering even when the plot feels like it’s running on raw outrage. José Gras sells the central fixation with a cold, single-minded intensity, and the film’s rough-edged craft has that disreputable drive-in energy that fans of cult cinema chase. It’s absolutely not for everyone—its sexual violence, nudity, and neo-Nazi imagery are graphic and ugly—but if you can stomach the extremes, it’s a notorious, no-holds-barred time capsule of exploitation cinema at its most unhinged.

Mad Foxes is clearly aiming for a grimy, no-holds-barred revenge thriller that pushes exploitation shock tactics to the limit, with neo-Nazi bikers, sleaze, and escalating payback. The problem is it’s less a coherent action-crime story than a string of ugly set-pieces stitched together with muddled plotting and tonal whiplash, so the brutality rarely feels earned and often just feels mean. The film’s graphic sexual violence, frequent nudity, and tasteless excess aren’t background texture—they’re the main event—so if you’re not specifically seeking 1980s Euro-exploitation nastiness, this will likely feel like a waste of your time. If you do have a tolerance for rough, disreputable genre cinema, there’s a certain grimy, drive-in intensity and sheer audacity to it, but don’t expect craftsmanship or catharsis.
