Bandolero! (1968)

Bandolero! is clearly aiming for a crowd-pleasing, star-powered Western about brotherly loyalty, shifting allegiances, and a rough chase that turns into an uneasy alliance south of the border. The problem is that once the opening kicks up dust, the story starts to feel routine and the pacing sags, with long stretches that play more like standard-issue genre business than anything with real bite or surprise. If you’re coming for a tight, suspenseful cat-and-mouse Western or something with the emotional weight of the era’s best, this may leave you wondering why you bothered.
