Frankenstein Created Woman is clearly trying to fuse Hammer’s gothic tragedy with a pulpy sci‑fi hook about soul transference, and on paper that’s a tasty, morally queasy idea. The problem is the script doesn’t dig into the “created” aspect nearly enough, rushing the transformation and then coasting on a revenge-kill structure that can feel repetitive rather than revelatory. It’s also rougher and nastier than some of Fisher’s more elegant outings, with a mean streak and occasional gore that may read as crude instead of chilling.
