The problem is the execution—effects are bargain-basement even by 1966 standards, the acting often feels rushed or checked out, and the humor lands with a thud, sometimes edging into condescending. If you need convincing creature work, believable tension, or characters you can invest in, this will test your patience fast. If, however, you enjoy watching old B-movies as curiosities and can laugh with (not at) rubber-suit mayhem, there’s a certain campy time-capsule charm to be found.
