Angelo Iacono worked in the film industry at first occasionally in the early sixties (assistant director of Roberto Rossellini in Anima nera; production secretary of Federico Fellini in 8½) and later devoted himself to production. His collaboration with Dario Argento was very important. In 1979 he had his only experience as a director: Profumi e balocchi in which his wife Cintia Lodetti played the female lead.
