Sutherland delved into television, directing acclaimed shows like "Degrassi: The Next Generation" and "Murdoch Mysteries." His co-creation, "She’s the Mayor," aired in 2011. Their collaboration extended to the fact-based feature "Home Again," exploring the lives of Jamaican deportees. The film earned Canadian Screen Award nominations in 2013, showcasing Sutherland's talent and impact in storytelling.
