The son of actor Mammootty, Dulquer established his career with the crime drama Second Show (2012), which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His position in Malayalam cinema was further secured with the successful film Ustad Hotel (2012). He continued to star in prominent Malayalam films like Bangalore Days (2014), Charlie (2015), and Kammattipaadam (2016), receiving recognition for his performances, including a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Charlie
